The
Ecology of Commerce
by Paul Hawken.
I first read this book when I was a design student. It's really easy reading - explains how commerce/products can better meet our and the environment's needs.
The
Age of Consent
by George Monbiot
George Monbiot is one of my favourite current affairs writers. This book deals with Globalisation and how things can change.
George Monbiot's website www.monbiot.com includes essays and articles.
An Inconvenient Truth - Book
by Al Gore
This is the book that goes with the DVD - An Inconvenient Truth. There has been a lot of critism of this film in the newspapers, but really you should find out both sides before you make your mind up about it. Everyone I have convinced to watch the film has said that "everyone" should watch it.
The
Grip of Death
by Michael Rowbotham
This is the book that has blown me away. I was naive about money, I thought the government created it. I thought the Bank of England belonged to England.
How wrong was I!
Money, debt it is all explained here, even offers some solutions.
